There is a third: It just works and no one is complaining.

Personally, I prefer doing it in Apache because it's a well-known and
longstanding option. Apache also gives the flexibility to do other
things (redirects, serve more static content, etc.) that always seem
-- rightfully or not -- just a bit harder to do in Tomcat alone.
