[Building Sakai] question for was.

We are updating our sakai version from 2.7.1 to 2.9.0. I have a question for was. I did not see it in 2.9.0 externals https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/sakai/tags/sakai-2.9.0/.externals. But it is in 2.7.1 externals https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/sakai/tags/sakai-2.7.1/.externals. Does it mean that it is not needed anymore for 2.9.0 or it is moved to other place ?  And what is it for ?
