[Building Sakai] ldap connection pool size

We currently have ldap pool connections left at the default of 10 max on each production server.
We're going to change our configuration of this to an explicit setting,
after one of the our production servers recently logged several hundred failures to get an ldap connection
due to pool exhaustion, spanning about ten wallclock minutes.
This didn't seem to hurt users this time, but we'd like to prevent a recurrence
which could be hurtful next time.

If you have advice on this configuration, please let us know.

Also, I don't see that there's a min value to set for the pool.
Have I overlooked the ability to set that?
