Hi Tony,

I don't know the answer to your question, so I'm copying the Dev list. I'm not sure if https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-23733 has a positive impact on gradebook performance (if that is what you are asking). 


I do see a couple of open gradebook performance bugs with 2.9.x , but I don' t know if they are related to your question either:
