[Building Sakai] Joinable sites > access and quick join

Hi all,
 
Has any one got a streamlined process for finding and joining joinable
sites?
 
At the moment the user needs to know 1) that the list of joinable sites
is found My Workspace > Membership > Joinable sites, and 2) the name of
the site. The user also needs to join the site before being able to see
the content (seems more logical to take a look at what is on the site
and then join if you want). Because of the steps involved I'd harzard a
guess that most joinable sites don't get joined.
 
Any thoughts?
