[Building Sakai] Is 2.9 officially released yet?

Hi Neal,
The source.sakaiproject.org/release is what I was talking about. I see that it's been updated now. Speaking of the www.sakaiproject.org site, though, it feels like it's become much harder, or at least more confusing, to find a link to download the source or the binaries.

Most open source projects have a "download" link on the front page that leads to direct links to the source and binaries. For Sakai, you have to go to "Try Sakai CLE" (not where I would assume I'd find the download link) and then click the "download and install" or "get source code" links embedded in the body text, whereas my instinct is to look for download links on the left or right columns of the page.

I don't know if you can do anything about that, or if anyone even agrees with me that this is confusing and sort of looks like we're trying to hide the download and source links. Just a thought.

There *was* a very small change made last night to the reference (library) that made the new tutorial tool non-functional and caused some javascript errors immediately. Reference was retagged because of this. because it was missing a comma in a javascript file.. I rebuilt and deployed the artifacts to correct this single error. So anyone that picked up the tag from Friday->Last night (EST) would want to update this file.

I see there is a sakai-2.9.0 tag (which was not finalized when I first checked it out late last week), and there has been plenty of discussion about the details of what works with 2.9.0 etc. But I haven't seen any announcement, official or otherwise, to indicate the status of the 2.9.0 release. The sakaiproject.org<http://sakaiproject.org> website points to 2.8.2 as the current release.
