[Building Sakai] Sakai 2.8.1 and MySQL 5.5?

Hello:
Another question about setting up a system for Sakai 2.8.1.  Anyone using MySQL 5.5 with Sakai 2.8.1?

The release notes state v5.1+.  Should this be read as "any version of MySQL 5.1"?  Thus, not v5.5?
