[Building Sakai] how do I set up oracle for sakai?

I'm trying to test Lesson Builder under Oracle. We're using Sakai. I tried to install Oracle on my Mac. The installer won't run. Searching Google I see lots of postings, but none of them give me any confidence that I could get things working in a finite amount of time.

Can anyone tell me how to install Oracle and get Sakai started on top of it? I have access to OS X 10.6 and 10.7, OpenSolaris, Windows 7, and Ubuntu.
