[Building Sakai] PDA portal tool compatibility

Hi all,
I'd just like to draw people's attention to a task I've just setup in JIRA:
https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-20890
I've been doing some work, here at Lancaster, on a mobile integration
for Sakai with a commercial supplier of mobile gateways, CampusM. It got
me wondering why we can't do most of the stuff that these platforms do,
directly in Sakai? I bought an iPod touch and actually started testing
our tools out in the PDA portal. Lots of functionality seemed fine, some
of it a bit ropy. If our tools are 'almost there' regarding the PDA
portal, maybe there are others in the same state and if so it shouldn't
take a huge amount of effort to get them there. Hence the JIRA ticket.
What I'd like to happen is for people to start hooking any relevant
tickets they know of into the task so we can start to grow a web of
related work. I'd also like to get a confluence page setup for the sole
purpose of building a 'pda portal compatibility matrix' of as many tools
as possible.
There are many mobile Sakai projects happening at the moment. Two GSOC
projects, one for the CLE, one for the OAE. Projects at Indiana,
Michigan, Florida and Lancaster. Here's a confluence page which is
obviously also aimed at trying to establish some common ground and
coherence between these: https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/MOBILE.
Cheers,
Adrian.
