Hi everyone,

I wanted to point people to the Sakai OAE 90-day draft plan that has
been added to Confluence [1]. The plan is a first attempt to list the
goals for the 90 days following the version 1 release (expected
somewhere this month) that should take us to a version 1.1 release
of OAE.

As I said, this is a draft plan and none of the listed items are set in
stone. Nonetheless, we wanted to post it on Confluence for people to
have a look at and contribute to.

We've also added a page that lists smaller subtasks for each of the
items [2]. This should give people a better idea of what exactly is meant
by certain items. We will also use this page to monitor progress during
version 1.1 design and development. Obviously, this page is also still
work in progress.

Note: this is a first effort to try and put the O back in OAE and offer
more digestible information around what's going on in the project.
The project team fully recognizes that we haven't done a very good
job at this, and we are explicitly settings time aside for this now. I
expect more updates to be shared on a regular basis.

Next to this, our existing communication channels won't be going away
any time soon either. There's a UI dev and Nakamura list that has lots
of traffic around day-to-day work and can be joined by anyone, there are
daily stand-up calls that can be joined through califlower, there's a weekly
UI dev call that can be joined through califlower, notes of URG and UI dev
meetings are posted on Confluence every week, all of the work we do is
in JIRA tickets, we will respond to any questions and so much more ...

I hope this shows that nothing we are doing is actually secret at all, we've
just all been so busy that we haven't had the chance to summarize things
into easier to digest updates.

PS: If someone has suggestions as to where these updates should be
sent to, I'm definitely open to suggestions as I don't want to be cross-
posting to several lists without a reason.

Kind regards,
Nicolaas
