[Building Sakai] forgot password page

Hi,

Added one field (pf index no) other than email in the forgot password
page(all the fields should be mandatory). Iam trying to validate the fields
but not able to do so and without entering the values if iam trying to
submit the page, error messages are not displayed and the form is not
getting submitted,  it remains in the same page
Can anybody suggest me a  solution for this.
