[Building Sakai] Issue with Samigo updating timestamp in Gradebook

Greetings from Florida!

We have a department who will be using Sakai for training/certification courses. The courses have a single assessment, done with Samigo, and the grades are based on a Pass/Not Pass minimum score. We run an SQL script each night to determine who passed the assessment the day before and pass that information to an external source. Our queries are running against the gradebook tables since that is where the P/NP data are kept. The tests are set to send the last submitted assessment to gradebook and the user can take the assessment an unlimited number of times.

Some of the certifications are valid for a set period of time, one year for example. This means people will be revisting the course to take the assessment again.

During our testing we discovered that the timestamp in GB_GRADE_RECORD_T.date_recorded is not updated if the score from the assessment currently in the gradebook is identical to the current score. Samigo shows the user that the assessment with the latest timestamp is recorded but the information in the gradebook table is from the older assessment. If the score is different, the timestamp is updated properly.

I have been searching for information relating to this issue and have not found anything. Has anyone noticed this problem before or is there a patch already in place to resolve this issue?

Our current setup is:
Sakai 2.6.x
Samigo 2.7.x
Gradebook 2.6.x

Thanks,
Mike
