Hi Aadish,
                 Sakai community welcomes your interest in volunteering.
Here are a couple of bugs that may give you a deeper insight into Sakai
architecture and or implementation.

    * KNL-517(Core Implementation)
      <https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-517>
    * SAK-17891(Deployment) <https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-17891>

KNL-532 <https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-532>(Caching)
SAK-19331 <https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-19331>_(Relates to
build/project management procedure in Sakai)_
Please note these are not the simplest of the bugs to deal with however
working on those alone or with a team will help you learn a lot about
how Sakai works.
Good Luck,
Mustansar

I have yet to see any problem, however complicated, which, when,you looked at it in the right way, did not become still more complicated.
