[Building Sakai] cache sizes in Sakai 2.7

Has anyone running Sakai 2.6 or 2.7 been adjusting the cache sizes for their production installations?  The default Sakai ehcache size of 10,000 seems high to me but I don't really have data to suggest what the value ought to be.  Any experience someone can contribute would be welcome.
