Hi,

This isn't Sakai related so you'll probably find more relevant info on another list, but if using XSLT 2.0, see here:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath-functions/#func-base-uri

AFAIK it's not supported in XSLT 1, but you could pass it in as a parameter.
