[Building Sakai] Sakai Code Walk through PPT

Hi All,

I am working on sakai-2.8.1. My requirement is to do customization of
sakai, for that i am trying to do some investigation "How sakai works
internally ?"
So that i can easily add or remove components or add some extra logic in
business layer.
Currently i am looking at

docs.

But i want to know

How the component link with each other?
How the request-response cycle works?
What are the interceptor and what is the purpose?

 Is there any basic code walk-through PPT for developer to get start work?

Please point me right direction.
