[Building Sakai] 2.7.1 Firefox tries to download myworkspace_info.html

Actually, that property name has changed. I believe it made it in time for 2.7 so the property to use is:

content.html.forcedownload=false

That will disable the 'feature' globally. You can actually leave it on globally and then just allow certain sites/folders or files by editing the details of the folder/file and checking/unchecking the appropriate checkbox.
