[Building Sakai] Profile2 Backwards Compatibility

Are there any schools out there who are using Profile2 on a Sakai 2.7.x
build?

If you wanted to use the latest features of Profile2, like the wall,
would you be prepared to install a later version of the kernel than the
one that shipped with Sakai?

The reason for these questions is that I'm trying to get a feel for the
demand for profile2 features, and whether the desire for the latest and
greatest makes it worthwhile running a hybrid Sakai. By hybrid, I don't
mean 'CLE and OAE, bound together in perfect harmonee', I mean running a
1.2 kernel in a 2.7.x chassis, or running updated (and possibly not QA'd
with 2.7) versions of EntityBroker.

What do you think?

Adrian (Profile2 committer).
