[Building Sakai] Microsoft and Sakai

We are just using the Sakai login and using linktool's signing to validate the user. We then do a DB lookup to translate the EID into the Live at EDU address and pass that Microsoft to get an SLT, and pass that SLT to the live login portal.

It's a fairly simple Perl script behind the linktool. Microsoft pointed us to a PHP application that did this, and I rewrote it in Perl.

Jeremy,

Is this using native sakai login then using linktool to get you to the
Live at edu outlook live?

Or are you using an already established enterprise sso system
(cas, shibboleth, etc) and then using the sakai linktool tool as the
segway into the Live at edu site?

Do you auto generate patron MS Live ID's with your IDM system?

thanks
