[Building Sakai] Course management "Descriptions"

Is it typical practice to provide a "description" of each course provisioned
through the course management service?
I notice that there is a CM_MEMBER_CONTAINER_T.DESCRIPTION field, which is
populated in my instance. But if someone goes through worksite setup to
create a course that is represented in that table, the description field for
the course doesn't get populated.

Is that a bug? or am I missing something?
