[Building Sakai] Jira reports

Hi fellow hard workers,

Next week I will be looking at getting a report generated once a day against Jira. I want to make a view that shows roughly how projects are evolving over time. This will help make informed decisions about where central QA should spend time during the cycle. I am thinking along the lines of a simple Perl script, but will change my mind if someone reading this has an educated opinion. Has anyone done something similar from the client side.
