[Building Sakai] Interface Accessability

Hi,

Actually I am working on sakai 2.6.2. I have download kernal 1.0.13 and put
all the downloaded files in "kernal" folder that can created by me in
sakai-src directory. After i have to done some modification on interfaces. 
                Downloaded folder:    {sakai-src}/kernal 

After that I have deployed this using this command,
                           sakai-src/kernal>mvn clean install sakai:deploy
some files are updated in shared/lib and surefirereports after it displays
built failure.

After getting your reply I have do like that i.e
[sakai_src]/kernel-deploy>mvn clean install sakai:deploy

It will not give any result. Kernal-deploy folder contains only pom.xml,
there is no other folders.
Give any suggestion to me
