We use the LDAP UserDirectoryProvider to provide user details to Sakai.

We've had a question from a user about the Assignments tool - they want to know what will happen to submitted essays after the user has left the university and so their details are no longer in the LDAP directory.

Will the site maintainer still be able to download the essays within a zip file and will they be able to tell which essay belongs to which student?
