[Building Sakai] A consolidated assignment submission?

An instructor asked whether the following would be possible.

Can you have an assignment submission, where each student has provided
a response, and the result is available as a single document? Also,
students should not be able to see other students' submissions.

I took a look at the available tools. The discussion forums wouldn't
work, because students can see what other students have written. The
Tests & Quizzes, Assignments, and Drop box don't look like they would
help, because you need to click on each individual submission.

Does anyone have an idea of how Sakai could fulfill this task?
