[Building Sakai] Forums tool and .anon

Has anyone looks at allowing .anon into the forums tool at the moment
it seems that both the forums tool and the synoptic forums tool seem
to blow up with stack traces when accessed by a user who isn't logged
into Sakai?

On a related note does anyone know why the Forums tool has it's own
authorisation code, rather than using the standard Sakai one?
