The main issue is that I don't think you can have a pop-up after logging in via webDAV. Do you know different?
Also, in the UK there is no such thing as 'fair use' meaning that the wording will have to be different between the UK and US. We have already changed the copyright status options to reflect UK terminology.

The pop up after /username is a good idea the content (if possible) should be more of a message like: "it is unlawful to upload copyright material without expressed consent from the...(publisher/author)" Otherwise you would need a disclaimer that states they accept terms or policy of # here is a link to the US code title 17,107 on limitations on exclusive rights: fair use. Maybe you can wordsmith something together from this http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/107.html
