Hi Naira,

Can other people who are not administrators view the statistics?  Is this normal Sitestats or Sitestats Admin?
Attached is a document of what we did to activate Sitestats.  Hope it helps.  Please do ask if you are still stuck and I will try and assist.

how are you?? I am sorry but i am not emailing you to help you rather i want a help from you... are you able to see the SiteStats when you log in as an admin???

Actually I have deployed Sakai and i have enabled site stats tool for admin. but i am unable to see statistics... it is showing 0 values for all the sites however the users have logged multiple times to the sites but site Stats are not shown in that tool. I hope i have successfully explained my problem.

if you have enabled the site Stats for admin please, let me know how have you enabled the tool.

Hi David,

We tried that.  We updated one site and the site.helper (and templates) but still when the users wants to view the sitestats overview of that specific site he gets the not authorised message.  Do perhaps have any other suggestions please?  We must be missing something.
Your advice will be appreciated.

Remember the !site.template realms are templates - they get applied at site creation time. If this is for existing sites you will need to add the permission to those sites realms or the site.helper realm

We are still experiencing the problem where if a user is linked to Sitestats admin and he click on a course site to get a Sitestats overview of that site, the error "You are not authorized to use this tool. " is displayed.
According to http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/STAT/Installation+Guide
The user should be able to see it:
7.1. Setup tool permissions

 1.  Startup tomcat if not started yet
 2.  Setup tool permissions for the maintain and Instructor role on the !site.template and !site.template.course templates:

    *   Click Realm
    *   Click !site.template
    *   Click Role Id - maintain
    *   Check:
sitestats.view box to grant an user permission to the SiteStats tool
sitestats.admin.view box to grant an user permission to the SiteStats Admin tool

    *   Click the Done Button
    *   Repeat for the Instructor role on the !site.template.course realm
    *   Repeat for the realms of existing sites or use a script for the effect
Note: the SiteStats Admin tool allow to view statistics for any Sakai site

All the above steps was followed and it still not working.  Can someone please assist; we must be missing something somewhere.
