Hi,

Users from LDAP aren't created in Sakai and you don't need them to be - and
it's actually better that they aren't.

The first time a user is added to a site or logs in to Sakai, an entry is
created in the SAKAI_USER_ID_MAP table which ensures that user has a UUID
related to their login ID (jsmith26). This user is then treated as a normal
user in Sakai, with the exception of being able to edit their name, email and
password as that is stored in LDAP.

This is a better approach as it means things don't get out of sync. See also
here:

cheers,
Steve
