[Building Sakai] Problem during development

You should use a permission like the example ones in the tool and
check for that permission:
yourapp.write.any or yourapp.read.hidden
Not all sites have the same roles so it is dangerous to check roles directly.

(2) Try the POI library: org.apache.poi

(3) Can you provide more details on this one? Are you trying to detect
when the box is checked (this would require ajax) or that it was
checked when it is submitted or something else entirely?
