[Building Sakai] Packing Sakai to Install on a Client and Customizing the MySQL Database

I think what you are looking for is:  mvn clean install -Ppack-demo

This will give you a nice "little" package that can just be run on a local system without any network dependencies as the server and database will be running locally.  L
