Hi Mark,

   Thank you for your response. It does look very similar to what I need.

   One more question, I see that this package works on the 2.6 version (and some work needs to be done in order to migrate to 2.5), Do you know if this one works also with the old content hosting system (2.4)? It seem the client uses the old CH (on 2.5) and currently has no plans to upgrade.

You can also take a look at the (source code of) SCORM player. http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/x/AQDiAQ

 

I think it does something similar as what you are describing.

Hello,

   I have developed in the pas a moodle extension, and now I need to create an equivalent extension for Sakai.

   In this extension I want to introduce new type of resources into the system, these resource need to have their unique player. 

*         What is the right approach for that?

*         Can I create a new resource (and player) in Sakai, or do I need to something more drastic (like Content Hosting of new type)?

*         Can I modify an existing resource type (e.g. upload file), to try and keep the regular user experience?

   Any point to relevant resources will be appreciated.
