Hi,

The location of the archives is set in sakai.properties:
# root of archive file system area - used to write archive files and to read them
# when clustering app servers, this should be a shared network location
storagePath at org.sakaiproject.archive.api.ArchiveService = ${sakai.home}/archive/

ie next to your sakai.properties under the archive/ directory.

Once you archive a site you will have a directory for that site there. You'll need to transfer that directory to your new server and then import.

However, certain data does not carry across so depending on what you need you may have mixed results.

cheers,
Steve
