[Building Sakai] Upgrade to James 2.3.1 (or latest)?

Is there anyone interested in looking further into upgrading James for trunk?  Is this something someone would like to take on for Sakai 2.7, and possibly for merging back to the 2.5.x and 2.6.x maintenance branches?
