[Building Sakai] Incorrect Sakai Event timestamps (SAK-11916)

Hi All,

The Statistics module I wrote for Sakai at CSU has been having a little
grief lately due to some of the dates in the Sakai Event and Session table
being in the future. From what I can tell, it¹s the same thing reported in
SAK-11916.

A long story short, it looks like that with Oracle, the Event system is
inserting an incorrect timestamp for the event. We are seeing dates a long
way into the future (as far as 12 months) and others have reported dates in
the past (as they archive their event table we don¹t).

Ian Boston couldn¹t reproduce the error, but I was wondering if *anyone* has
seen or worked out a solution or work around? I¹d really like to get this
sorted as the stats I collect depend on the dates and if they aren¹t correct
then the stats are useless...

Thanks,
