Hi,

What information are you after? In a nutshell, the  
UserDirectoryService allows you to add, edit, retrieve, and remove  
users.

There are API docs here for the 2.5.4 release:
http://source.sakaiproject.org/release/2.5.4/apidocs/

Look for org.sakaiproject.user.api.UserDirectoryService

If you let us know what you are trying to achieve we can point you in  
the right direction.
