[Building Sakai] Eclipse metadata files (reviving an old proposal)

I would second both Ray and Seth's suggestions as part of this proposal:

Ray: "In the release notes, I'd recommend pointing to both Maven's
Eclipse-file-generating plugin:

and Eclipse's Maven-wise plugin:

http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/ "

I also use the maven plugin for eclipse as my preferred way to bring
in projects (though when working with the entire sakai trunk it takes
a half day for eclipse on the initial import so using the maven
eclipse plugin is the better option).

"de facto" Sakai Subversion config file:

 https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/trunk/svn/config

 to exclude .classpath files from the Subversion repo. I think
 this would be with a "global-ignores" entry"
I would say adding .project, .classpath, and .settings (folder) (and
possibly .class and .jar) would be appropriate to consider.
