[Building Sakai] IE8 compatibility

Hi Guys,

Thanks for keeping on top of this issue - just as the 2.6 branch manager
I've seen no issues come my way on this. As RC1 is about to be released
where tightening up on what gets merged to the 2.6.x branch. Does
someone have a list of the Jira's for this or is there an umbrella
tracking issue?
