[Deploying Sakai] Online Attendance Tracking

We're using Sakai with Elluminate Live to run online courses, and the profs would like to be able to keep track of online student attendance (both for synchronous and asynchronous students).  If you are doing something similar at your school, what do you use for tracking online attendance?  The Site Stats tool doesn't provide me with enough detail for the task.
