[Deploying Sakai] SSL load balancing and fault tolerance for Sakai

John,

You might be able to work around this problem with cookie-based sticky
sessions from the load balancer. Your authentication web app would need to
be smart enough to take the load balancer cookie it got when it made the
webservice call and pass it on to the user. I think cross-domain issues
might get in the way, however (unless your auth webapp is the same exact
domain as Sakai).

I guess the next approach would be container based authentication as
implemented with CAS, etc (e.g. make your authentication application
function more like a standard Web-ISO tool).

Or just use the LDAP auth support in Sakai, as Steven said.
