Colleagues,
We will be holding our weekly Teaching and Learning Call today (Wednesday)
from 2 - 3 PM Eastern Time and I would like to extend a special invitation
to anyone in the community who has considered participating in these
meetings to join the call today. Historically, we have used the first
couple of calls following our main conference to share insights and ideas
that came out of the conference and discuss priorities for the coming year
so its a good time for new folks to join the conversation. If you are
interested but can't join this week please consider joining next week
(June 18th) as we will be continuing this general discussion for the next
few calls.
In terms of a specific agenda for today, I would like to take a few
minutes to update the group on the Lessons Enhancement Project that we've
been working on prior to the conference. I am pleased to be able to
announce that Tufts University has committed, along with Marist College,
to contributing $5,000 so we are a step closer to being ready to launch
the project. There are several other institutions who have expressed
interest who I am waiting to hear from so I'm hoping that we will be ready
to start the project by the end of June. Beyond this, there are a few
particularly important things that came out of the conference from my
perspective which I am sure is the case of others as well so I thought we
could take some time to share and discuss them.
