The Open Source Portfolio (OSP) tools in Sakai are well known for their
assessment matrices and sharable portfolios. Although these tools have
served the community well, more flexibility, less coding, and expanded
capabilities are needed to address the needs of future portfolio users in
Sakai. MATI Montreal, Kyoto University, and Three Canoes LLC have teamed up
to launch an Apereo incubation project for Karuta, a flexible solution in
the spirit of OSP that is LTI-enabled for integration with Sakai. Come
learn about the current status and future plans for Karuta and see a demo
of this new and exciting portfolio project.

Janice Smith is a co-owner and consultant at Three Canoes LLC and project
lead for the Apereo Foundation's Karuta Open Source Portfolio incubation
project. For almost three decades, she directed a variety of programs to
enhance teaching and learning at the University of Minnesota.

Jacques Raynauld is a faculty member at HEC Montréal where he holds the
Chair of Teaching and Learning in Management Education. He has been part of
the HEC Montréal MOOC initiative and is currently involved in the Karuta
Open Source Portfolio project for learning assessment, accreditation, and
presentation.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing
information about joining the webinar.
