A Showcase of Open Source Portfolio Implementations
 Time and Location: 8:30 AM – 12 noon, Monday, June 13, Santa Barbara B Room
 Session: Pre-Conference Session
 Track: Teaching, Learning, Research and Portfolios
 Open Source Portfolio (OSP) community members will demonstrate institutional implementations of the portfolio tools in Sakai 2.7, including enhanced assessment capabilities, simplified portfolio templates, and the latest reporting techniques. Panel members will share actual user scenarios illustrating innovative ways to customize the portfolio tools in Sakai, as well as provide technical instructions and access to each innovation. Portfolio users at all levels of expertise will benefit from this session. Outcomes include expanded knowledge of possible ways to implement portfolios in Sakai, skills and resources for applying the innovations described, and enhanced networking among institutions using OSP.

 Implementing Forms and Form Renderers in the Open Source Portfolio
 Time and Location: 1-4:30 PM, Monday, June 13, Palos Verdes Room
 Session: Pre-Conference Session
 Track: Teaching, Learning, Research and Portfolios
 Open Source Portfolio (OSP) community members will provide technical training for implementing forms for use with the portfolio tools in Sakai 2.7. Specific attention will be given to innovative uses of form renders. Outcomes for the training include knowledge of effective uses of forms are used in Sakai/OSP, basic competence in creating forms for different purposes, and understanding how form renderers can enhance the use of forms. Participants should have an intermediate level knowledge of portfolios, a basic understanding of XSD and XSL, a computer with an XML IDE installed, and a Sakai instance to work on.
