REGISTRATION INFORMATION
There is no registration fee; however, both presenters and participants must register.

Why is the conference free? Despite these difficult economic times we, the Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research (CIDER) at Virginia Tech, believe that it is important to support and develop one another’s educational and pedagogical efforts in whatever ways possible. We believe it is essential that the higher education community maintains high pedagogical standards and continues to increase the effectiveness of its instruction and the quality of student learning, regardless of economic circumstance. Budgetary reductions of travel money and professional development funds should not be a barrier to increased instructional effectiveness and student learning. Thus, for the third year in a row, the Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy will not be charging a registration fee.

SESSION TYPES
Research sessions are designed to inform participants of the design, implementation and results of empirical research focused on teaching and learning in higher education.

Practice sessions are focused on sharing, modeling and discussing higher education teaching and learning, while allowing for interaction among session participants.

Poster sessions provide the contributor with the opportunity to present and discuss scholarly research and/or practice addressing higher education pedagogy with conference participants in an informal scholarly environment.
