Job Description
Contribute proactively as a member of the GSEP Technology Team to lead a school-wide strategic vision for technology and learning; work collaboratively with the Dean, Associate Deans, and faculty to strategically promote instructional technologies and support the instructional and organizational mission and goals of GSEP; proactively provide guidance and support to faculty regarding application of instructional technology; document business requirements, define business rules, develop test cases, support testing, and work on project teams; participate in short-term planning sessions with a client to implement process improvement within an assigned client area; document discussion and agreements; support liaison relationship with business partners in order to provide technical solutions to meet user need; assist in assessing client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities; develop, write, and communicate requirements for the implementation of business solutions; seek technical assistance to help in problem resolution; develop user test cases and validate test results during user acceptance testing; investigate, resolve, and escalate problem; analyze metrics to ensure customer satisfaction; provide input to project status reports and communicate status to business partner; provide timely and complete project status reports to supervisor as requested; perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience required, master's degree preferred; 4-5 years of relevant technical or business work experience and basic knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes required;1-2 years of experience supporting instructional technologies including learning management systems and online collaboration tools required; experience working in higher education preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong problem solving skills; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines; experiencing leading technical training and workshops preferred; strong understanding of instructional technology best practices.
