[gradebook2-dev] weird 404 errors after upgrade

We recently upgraded a client, they were on vs 1.4.1 now on 1.7.0.
Several users have been reporting intermittent  404s.  We can't
reproduce this.  In apache logs we see things like:

Could this just be a client side caching type of thing ?  Any ideas ?
