[gradebook2-dev] new sakai server install

Hi all,
We're migrating sakai to a new server here, and I'm up to Gradebook2 on my list to install.

We have Sakai 2.8.1 installed – and I'm having difficulty getting GB2 to build.

As per the install patch - I've changed the pom.xml to -

<version>2.8-SNAPSHOT</version>  (on my 2.7.1 install I have <version>2.7.1</version> in pom.xml)

mvn clean install

And get -
Failed to validate POM for project org.sakaiproject.gradebook2:gradebook2-base at /home/sakai/sakai-2.8.1/gradebook2/pom.xml

Do I need to change something else? (I did try 2.8.1-SNAPSHOT / 2.8.1 / 2.8 and some other variations)

Pulled the GB2 code from - https://source.sakaiproject.org/contrib/gradebook2/tags/1.8.0/

Any ideas?
