I need to tune sakai 2.5.3

Environment

1 OLE 5.2 x86 with 4gb RAM running apache 2.2.3

3 OEL 5.2 x86 with 4gb RAM running 1 only instance of sakai 2.5.3

Java version: jdk1.5.0_17

Java Parameters: AVA_OPTS="-server -XX:+CMSPermGenSweepingEnabled -Xms768m
-Xmx2048m  -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Djava.awt.headless=true

                1 OEL 5.2 x86 with 8gb RAM running oracle 10g

The 5 servers are virtuals machines running over bl680g5 with esxi 3.5
installed (32gb memory and 4 CPU XEON e7330 2.4ghz)

Estimate concurrent users connected -> 10000

The idea is improve the environment to support the concurrent users.

I have some topics to review.

1) Increase java memory to 6gb RAM, to do that, I need java x64 and a
64-bit OS, is it a good way?

2) Change MaxPermSize value to 1gb, xmx to 4048mb and xms to 1048mb

3)      CMSPermGenSweepingEnabled, is that ok?

4) What do you think about schedule a tomcat service restart to evoid
memory leaks?

5)      Server.xml -> maxThreads="150" minSpareThreads="25"
maxSpareThreads="75"

6) To monitor java memory behavior I'm going to use jstat -gc pid
5000, what output columns are the more important to analize?

What do you think about these points and configurations???, what advices can
you give me.

Thanks,

Eduardo
