It looks like we have a real need for the hierarchy. We have the classic situation whereby 'top brass' would like to distribute a survey and allow depts to add their own questions.

I was asked how easy it will be to compare the responses (across the departments / courses) of the common questions. 

I can see that people higher up can see responses but how does the comparison across multiple surveys that are derived from the same master template?

Could somebody say some words?

| We have been using hierarchy for awhile now.  I have not had the time
| to sit down and document the hierarchy piece, but we do use it to set
| up the distribution of our course evaluations at the end of the
| semester.  We distribute university and college level items via one
| template.
