[cle-release-team] hibernate upgrade - 2.10+ only right?

A compromise solution would be to:

1) Merge back to 1.9
2) Include in DM the old hibernate jar so that tools continue to build

In 2.10/trunk:

1) after a suitable pause remove the backward compatible DM
2) Investigate going to hibernate 4 for 2.10
