Can someone get back with Chuck to explain how he can do this? Jenkins is a mystery to me :-(

If there is something we need and don't have (disk space, SSL certs, setup time, whatever), we need to take the conversation up a level. We're talking about a rather minimal investment directly in the sustainability and reputation of the project.

There is too much scope for people to screw releases up and it can get tricky to resolve. I had a developer wipe out our entire Maven repo today (locally, not Sakai) because of a bad path in the deploy section. Not common, but possible and there are easy ways of eliminating it and saving time as well.

But I also worry about people accidentally deploying components that they don't 'own'. Is there any way to provide permissions for just some directories in the maven repo?
